USAHello online center for information and education for refugees, asylum seekers, immigrants, and welcoming communities.
Youglish has authentic examples of expressions or specific vocabulary in spoken English. It is also a great resource to hear the pronunciation of a word in speech. Just type a word and the engine finds YouTube videos where that word is used. Transcription is available so you can read and listen.

Language Assessment Tool
The CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) helps to identify the level of proficiency an English Language Learner has. You may find it useful to refer to these levels to identify the proficiency of those you work with.
A1 - Breakthrough or beginner
A2 - Waystage or elementary
B1 - Threshold or intermediate
B2 - Vantage or upper intermediate
C1 - Effective operational proficiency or advanced
C2 - Mastery or proficiency

Holds pick-up services - Library cardholders can still use the catalog to request items for check out. If you have a learner that needs help with finding items to borrow, call, email, or chat with us and our staff will help them decide on the perfect book to learn English, for their 3rd grader or a self-help book in Spanish, these are just a few examples. Mobile/wireless printing - This service is open to anyone, no library card required.
Virtual services
Events and classes - These are free to attend and also do not require a library card. Programs and classes are available for all ages in many languages. Follow the link for more information.
Virtual reference - We're still able to answer questions from the public in multiple languages. Staff help patrons find books to read, resources for homeschooling support, tax forms, divorce records, etc. This service is free and does not require a library card.
Virtual tech help - This a new service that allows people to connect with library staff for help with their mobile device, instruction on how to access e-books and downloadable content, Zoom tips, and more. No library card required for this service.
